July, 2018 – Fulfilio’s role in shaping eCommerce in Australia took a major step forward today with the announcement that eBay will offer its merchants national fulfilment services through Fulfilio.
This agreement provides eBay’s thousands of merchants with the opportunity to take advantage of Fulfilio’s national warehousing and ‘pick and pack’ fulfilment services, with seamless distribution into Australia Post’s unparalleled delivery network.
Fulfilio CEO and Co-Founder, Mathew Galt, said eCommerce is rapidly changing the way Australians shop, and eCommerce retailers need a logistics partner that can power their supply chain like Shopify has done for their online store.
“Consumers expect shopping to fit in with their busy lifestyles by having their goods delivered when and where they want, with greater ease and personalisation. Online retailers will need to lift the bar to compete with global players who already do this very well.
Fulfilio, through our national warehouse network, serious tech smarts and customised pick and pack solutions, is ready to power Australian eCommerce businesses of all sizes to a whole new level.”
eBay is the first major relationship to be announced for the Fulfilio business, with the business growing at pace. As a new start-up, Fulfilio has grown an average of 26 per cent month-on-month through 2018, recently adding “Pod and Parcel” to its rapidly expanding client list.
Australia’s eCommerce market has huge potential, with only 8 per cent of retail sales happening online in Australia today. In a typical Western market, that percentage would be double – for example, in the United Kingdom it’s 18 per cent.
As Australians start buying more goods online, an 18.7 per cent increase when compared with 2016, the demand for services like Fulfilio will only increase, and Fulfilio feel perfectly placed to offer a tailored service to power growth of eCommerce businesses.
